What is a hazard analysis?

While promoting teamwork among unit members or focusing on financial budgets is important in unit operations, these objectives do not pertain to the core function of a hazard analysis. Assigning blame for accidents would not be an appropriate approach or goal of the hazard analysis process, as it is centered around prevention and improving safety protocols, rather than accountability after the fact.
